Turnford A and Hornets B. The group included two of the toughest teams in the tournament.

The first match was drawn against Redbridge A.  It was a hard first match. The girls were challenged by strong opponents. As the match progressed they settled into better on court playing and managed to claw one goal back. The final score was 1-6 to Redbridge A.

In the second match against Hertford Hornets, the girls demonstrated excellent teamwork with some great defending by the WD and passing on court by the C and WA. The GS and GA scored 4 fantastic goals winning the game 4-0.

Hawks third match was against their toughest competitors of the tournament. The girl’s attitude and desire to win resulted in the best defence play of the day. Both the GK and GD worked really well to defend the 5’ 9” GS from the opposing team. A great team effort and the game finished 1-9 to Turnford A, Our girls could hold their heads high as they proved worthy opponents.

The fourth and fifth matches were against Stevenage Storm B and Crosskeys A. The games demonstrated some exceptional court passing with great interceptions and through hard work, sheer determination and teamwork they won both matches 7-0 and 10-1 respectively. Fantastic matches and well deserved results.

The Hawks won 3 games and lost 2 and this magnificent play by the team lead to a play off for 5^th and 6^th position.

The Hawks were drawn against Hatfield in the 5^th and 6^th place play off between Group A and B.  The girls won a well deserved 5^th place by beating Hatfield 5-0. The game demonstrated great teamwork with excellent passing, defending and shooting.

Well done girls a great result, 5^th place in the Spring Netball Tournament.

You should all be proud of your achievement as well as the nature of which you approached each game, with tremendous spirit and enthusiasm.
